ati surge valve

hey guys i have a d1sc twin high flow can i vent my surge valve to atmosphere or do i have to run it back to the elbow bung on back of the super charger only reason i ask is because i have a 1989 with MAF!

MAF cars have to go back into the inlet of the blower if they are a draw-through.

what do you mean by draw through ? i have my surge valve right before the first intercooler(i have twin) and my maf is right before the throttle body

I vent mine to the atmosphere... I actually put a K#N filter on it to keep it quiet and plugged the part on the intake for the s/charger...Sounds like yours is like mine and most of them-not a draw-through...

how can you tell which is the inlet and the outlet of the surge valve is there any markings on the outside of the valve to indicate the inlet ...just want to make sure i dont have it in backwards

Unless you have your MAF before the blower, you can vent your surge valve to atmosphere. There is no right or wrong direction with the surge valve.

I don't think there is a right/wrong way to install it.. Just hook the vacuum line up and go... KS91z28 directed me on my surge line and it worked perfect!
