Thanks for the compliments. You're right, I used the turbo setup before on my '86 TA. It had the stock lg4 that I broke a few pistons & rings from. Since then I have bought another car (better body/drivetrain) & built an engine for the turbo. I also switched from blowthru to dfi, fabbed up new intake tubing and a full 3" mandrel bent exhaust. It sounds awesome and drives like a beast.

The Commander was actually pretty easy to setup. The only issue I had was their outdated 9pin connector to the laptop, which mine didn't have, so I had to buy a usb adaptor cable. Also, it came w/ a 1bar map which had to be switched w/ a 2bar. The TB must have been a bad casting b/c it had a small fuel leak near the injectors, and Holley exchanged it no problem. Other than that, you just install the TB and make all the connections. The tuning via the laptop took a little while to understand, but now it makes changing and tweaking easy and in real time. I wired my fan w/ the computer so it turns on at a certain temp, and I also plan on installing a knock sensor.

Very nice. I love that compressor on the turbo. It is rare to see the old style like that. There was one 1960-70s diesel truck that had a unit like that were I once worked. I haven't seen one like it until your setup.
Did you modify the carb for boost yourself?

On my previous setup I did modify the carb for boost myself. I ended up selling it when I started this project.
Yeah, I haven't seen another turbo like mine either. It has a 1.06 AR T6 turbine and a 4" compressor inlet. I got it for a great price off eBay though and it works well w/ my combo.
