Procharger and LT1
I have a '91 camaro with an LT1 swapped into it and I was wondering if anyone out there would have any idea if a P1SC or a D1SC kit for an LT1 would fit in a thirdgen? I'm not set on using either one so if anyone knows of another supercharger solution that would work I'm all ears.

Re: Procharger and LT1
I want to bring this one back. Has anyone got any thoughts on this? I am going to a Procharged 383 LT1 build and need some info on getting a supercharger kit to fit in our engine bays (mine is a 1992 z28). I am not running A/C or heat and no emissions.
Re: Procharger and LT1
Well, if you're willing to rearrange your accessories, you could use ProCharger's Carb Chevy Bracket that bolts to the driver's side head.

Interesting... what accessories need to be moved around really? What will this do with the pulleys and belt? If its a matter of buying accessory relocation brackets that are pre made and this almost elimiates the need for custom fabing brackets and pulley mounts and other stuff then its the way I will go. Im going to call ATI and see what they say.

Re: Procharger and LT1
Well, I spoke with ATI and there is not an "easy" way of doing this. The carb chevy bracket cannot be used because of how the blower mounts in relation to the LT1 balancer - apparantly its way off. The best way to go about doing this is to try and get an LT1 corvette setup (high passenger side) and relocate the accessories to setup like the LT1 corvette - move alternator, power steering, etc...
This does not sound too bad because swapping over to LT1 accessories should not be that bad, atleast I hope. As of now I am also going to get the motor build and run N/A and then continue research for a while and get ready for all the custom work over winter during down time.
Any thoughts/info from anyone else?

Re: Procharger and LT1
The corvette setup wont work because it flips the blower around so that the pulley faces backwards. There isn't enough room for this in our engine compartments. I just made an adapter to go from my ATI balancer to the Procharger crank pulley. Spaced it out about 3/8" in the process, then made longer spacers for the blower bracket.

That's the kit I have. There is a universal plate that bolts to the cylinder head then has multiple holes in it to allow moving around the actual head unit bracket. The plate that bolts to the head I completely remade to move the blower down, out, and rotated up a little bit. I moved the bracket down almost 6". Then to clear the frame rail and the power steering box had to rotate it up a few degrees. Knowing what I know now about how to route the intake ducting I wouldn't have had to modify the fender I don't think. Oh well.

Re: Procharger and LT1
Hmm, I guess its going to be piecing everything together and then getting custom brackets made. It would be nice to keep all my F-body accessories for the LT1 and run the procharger high up on the driver side like you are trying and like the chevy carb setup shows.... For now, I am going to get the engine built and run NA for a year and spend next winter doing all the custom fab and shop work.
Texas - keep us posted on how your setup goes whenever you get a chance to get back to it. I dont want to steal all your work but if you dont mind I'd love to know how you got it to work and maybe get info so I can make a bracket that works based on your build...

Re: Procharger and LT1
Trust me I wouldn't mind at all if you borrowed my ideas. That's why I'm posting it here because I know there have been other people interested in doing it.
I've already got autocad drawings made up for the pulley adapter and the bracket spacers. Once the actual mount is finished up I'm going to get it drawn up and CNC machined to clean it up and make it look like it came with the kit. I'll definitely be posting those once it's all finished.
