roots chager under 4 inch cowl?

is there any roots charger that would fit under a 4 inch cowl hood. has anyone done this without cutting the hood? engine is a 305 stock. if some one could let me know if its possible to do this that would be cool. thanks.

I have a 355 and a 142 mini-blower that fits under a 4" cowl in my chevelle. For reference sake,my buddy has a 82 camaro and he has a 2" cowl hood and the min-blower would clear it with a drop base air cleaner.

yes it is. Great unit for the price. Best bang for the buck v.s. Nitrous IMHO. Never have to refil the blower.

thats what i say, everyone always tells me to get nitrous but i think you should get permante power instead of shots of power it makes more sence. if you want more power after that then add nitrous.

to you know how tall it comes out to off the block?

Re: roots chager under 4 inch cowl?

I don't care for nitous as it gets expensive in a hurry! Not to get into a debate over Nitrous v.s. blower but to make things clear a mini-blower v.s a 100 shot constantly, the blower wins hands down. Why? Money well spent for years to come. a refil on a bottle every other weekend or every weekend gets old. How many passes you get v.s. full time power everywhere.

Once again,money well spent is a mini-blower on a 283 to 383.

I don't know how tall it is but heres a pic.
