Re: need nos help

if its a low hp setup (50 to maybe 100) installed properly used properly and with enough fuel pressure and volume it should not be a problem, i would start off with 50, but how do you plan on taking the timing out of the engine?

Re: need nos help

i really don't know much about nos but there is a wet kit made for the 87 l98 that is a wet kit 100 hp i cant remember who make the kit but it was a well known company and according to them the stock setup would be fine for the applicatino as long as there is no major mods like a chip the only thing im sure i would is install an adjustiable fuel pressure regulator but any timing suggestions would be great thanks for the reply

Re: need nos help

you can use a universal kit or the plate kit that a few companies sell for the tpi motors. from personal experience with an LO3 ive run a 150 shot many times with no harm or anything going wrong. if i wasnt running a 150 i was at 125 again no problems and ive put tons of bottles through that motor only thing i messed up with nitrous was my rear because of spraying from a dig with et streets.....oops. but you can do 125-150 safely just be careful with the jets. as for timing im not sure about an L98 just yet soon i will when i do it but on my LO3 i used stock 0 degree timing i didnt have to retard even for a 150 shot. i actually know a member on here that ran i believe 2-3 advanced with a 150 shot and was fine. but again for the l98 maybe pull 2-4 degrees of timing or get a timing puller box that does it for you when you spray.
