Blown LSX Stock style ignition vs front mounted dist at high power levels

I'm considering an blown LSX swap in my thirdgen. I have seen some of the higher horsepower (~1000hp) LSX cars running a front mounted distributor and not the stock coils. Since I view this as one of the major advantages of the LSX; why would anyone perform a swap BACK to a distributor?

As in, should I expect issues with a stock style LSX ignition at the 1000hp level?

Thanks,

Justin May

Not at all. Id suggest using MSD coil set @ that power level tho.

Individual coils are better but to get real high spark energy you need one MSD-box for each coil.
