Fuel system questions

I am looking for some feedback on my fuel system. I will be running a 406 with a T76 turbo looking to make about 500-600 whp.

Dual 255 intake fuel pumps (Already own one so I will just need one more pump)
-08 Feed from fuel tank (Already own and is installed on car)
-06 Return line (Again already own and have installed on vehicle.)
Aeromotive Fuel Pressure Regulator (http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku)
Two -06 feed line to each fuel rail.

I was also thinking of installing a boost switch for the second fuel pump. That way the pump will run after 2-3psi of boost.
Any opinions are welcome. From what I have read on ls1tech is that dual pump cars are making some 900 whp. So I figure I will be fine.

Re: Fuel system questions

Maybe this is something I am going to have to try and see if it works.

Re: Fuel system questions

you're setup sounds great. The hobbs switch to trigger the second pump is a good idea, especially if its a street car and you arent in boost all the time.

Re: Fuel system questions

I have seen someone else on the board do this. The only problem he was having was fuel pressure going to high when the second pump came on. I am willing to bet that his fuel return was just not big enough.

That is very possible. Your -6an line should be more than sufficent return size. I had pondered doing the exact same thing like they do on grand nationals where they are mounted together in the tank. is your tank sumped?

No my tank is not sumped. Thats why I am trying something different. My 4 inch exhaust would make it hard to get the tank sumped.

Re: Fuel system questions

i guess you could be able to do it or get the unit from someone who offers it. I was given a phone number for a guy who might be able to from Jack Cotton. I like that you are splitting to the fuel rails although if you didn't you should still be fine.

If someone offered a sending unit I would really consider buying it. I am probably going to cut and weld mine to hell in order to get what I want.
