oil lines

I was looking through the posts and the stickys and didn't see this. Does the Turbo itself draw oil, what i am asking is i would like to use a seperate system for oil so i don't have to tap anything. Can i use a stand alone reservoir or would i need a pump. It just seems to be that it would be eaiser to do it that way then tapping the pan or the block. So is it possible?

Re: oil lines

No, you have to pump the oil through the turbo. There's no need to tap the block. Just use an existing place, like where the oil sending unit is, and tee off there.

Re: oil lines

You will have to drill and maybe tap for the oil drain/return lines.
