Re: upgrade procharger?
Procharger sells 12ribs pulleys and I think Larry at ASSC has a custom kit for procharger with cogs.

Larry at ASSCRacing.com can set you up with a cog kit. Looking at the picture you posted, you'll have a bit of fab work to get it to fit around the upper radiator hose.

Look into getting a cog kit, 12 ribs are kind of a pain in the ***.

Re: upgrade procharger?
how much boost are you running? you dont really need a cog setup for low boost, i'm running 14#'s on an 8 rib setup

Re: upgrade procharger?
Running a wicked 8 psi here with a 6 rib. Some say you lose 10% to slippage with a belt this small, but I'm noticing very little. Blower is maxed out.
Depending on hard you are spinning the blower, aren't cog setups tough on the crank snout?? I was thinking about upgrading and running about 14 psi, but a cog setup is EXPENSIVE, might as well sell it all and go turbooooooooo. For myself anyway.

Using cogs on the street I would prefer something like this

Exactly what I was going to post. I'm will soon be running a 12-rib setup on an F-1 Procharger. Just got to work on the duct routing

Re: upgrade procharger?
I'm with GTA, IF I were going cog, I'd get that piece for sure! Expensive though, through Summit there around 400bux just for that piece!! Then you have to get the crank pulley still, fab work etc. BUT, no slippage

Re: upgrade procharger?
I use a procharger F1 with 12rib and so far I've made my own spring loaded tensioner to prevent slippage, it works good but the whole bvracket tends to flex so last year a new "bracket" and rerouted the belt so the bracket woulndt flex, the ATI constuction isnt that great when It comes to big power setups.......

Re: upgrade procharger?
I would highly recommend you going with a BBC crank snout or using that clutch gta recommended.
You will break your crank/key/hub with a cog and high boost.
Somebody makes a cog system.

Cog may kill your crank................Talk to Larry at ASSC he makes a cog kit if you dont want to DIY, but If you do go with cogs consider the pulley I posted.........

Re: upgrade procharger?
If you're going to street drive the car, spend the money on the ATI blower pulley. I ordered one about a month ago for the F1A on my car for the specific reason of not forcing the blower to hard stop which can result in damage to the blower and the crank if it's spinning fast enough when the belt suddenly stops.
The only real downside to the ATI sprag clutch super pulley is it only comes in one size so any changes to boost levels have to be done by changing the crank pulley.

Re: upgrade procharger?
The ATI Super Pulley with the clutch drive to allow the blower to continue to spin when the belt stops turning it (ie. rapid deceleration) only comes in a 45 tooth cog for on the blower. That means the only way to change boost levels is to change out the crank pulley to a different size (example: moving from a 66 tooth on the crank to a 77 tooth on the crank) This changes the overall diameter of the crank pulley but not the thickness (IE: the crank pulley will always be about 3 inches thick for a cog pulley)
For what it's worth, to get the cog setup to fit, I had a custom radiator made to move the upper radiator hose out of the way of the blower cog. If you are running the stock fans on the radiator, you will likely need to replace them with a low profile aftermarket fan set to clear the cog pulleys and idlers.
If you haven't already done it, do a search on this forum for the word "cog". There are some old posts by ***** that will give you a good idea what it takes to make a cog setup fit due to the thickness of the pulleys used in a cog setup.
