NOS & Valve Train Suggestions

I have recently quit the sport of truck pulling and thought I'd try my hand at drag racing. I have no experance with sbc engines and need some help.
This is what I have:
1982 Camaro
9" w/ 4.11 & 33" M/T
Th400
4800 stall
350 base block
.40 holes (piston's not selected)
5.7 H-beams
std/std steel crank
Sportman II 72cc / 200 runners
Mallory supermag

This is what I have questions on and need:
cam, lifters, pushrods, rockers, springs, valves, intake, NOS system and fuel delivery.

What NO2 mech roller cam should I start with?
I have not run a carb in years, should I stick with mech inj.?
Intake suggestions?
How much NOS can I put to this?

Re: NOS & Valve Train Suggestions

Get a single plane intake such as the Edelbrock Victor Jr or Professional Products makes a knock-off called the Hurricane which works very well.

A 750cfm mechanical secondary carb such as a Holley (personally I like Demons - some hate them though) oughta work well. If you're real serious you might want to consider having a carb shop custom build you one - I hear only good things about Pro Systems.

Cam Motion, in my opinion, makes the best cams money can buy - Call them with your motor specs and they'll grind you exactly what you'll need. They're also in the same price range as off-the-shelf cams. They'd also be able to recommend what to run in the rest of the valvetrain.

As for the nitrous kit... That really depends on how much you want to spray and how much you'd like to spend. For widely available/"cheap" kits I like Nitrous Express and NOS. A lot of the more serious nitrous users run kits by companies like Speedtech and Wilson.
