For those without a purge valve
Deciding the next form of abuse to subject the worn out 305 to. I'm not going to spend the money on new heads etc. and don't have the $$ right now (wife says I'm cheap
) to splurge for the 350 which I know is the way to go so I'm contemplating puting a 125 wet kit on the poor old thing. My question is, since the kit doesn't come with a purge set up and I don't want to spend the money for one (once again, the cheap thing) how do you get the air out of the line after you put the bottle on. I'm figuring if you don't somehow do that, as soon as you hit the button, it's going to basically flood out until the nitrous works it's way up to the plate.

I know I've heard of people purging through the motor. They just give a couple quick free revs and tap the nitrous a couple times to get the air through the lines.

I don't purge mine before I use it. At 900 psi the nitrous makes it way to the plate pretty quick. There maybe a slight hesitation, but nothing really noticeable.

Re: For those without a purge valve
running without a purge won't make it bog/flood when you hit it, it'll just make the initial hit a little weaker. This can actually be helpful if you're spraying off the line in a car that might not have the greatest suspension or a crappy track prep cause it won't jolt the tire as hard.
