Supercharged 350 formula
I am building a 350 sbc for the procharger kit here is the link it is the stage II
http://www.hawksthirdgenparts.com/88...justprice.aspx
I am gonna be using a forged lightwieght crank with forged 5.7 rods, and the pistons i am unsure. I no i need dished 2vr pistons but cant come up with the right ones. The heads are gonna be dart 76cc chamber heads. Wondering what type of piston should i use? here is a link for the pistons, i thought these would work just need to be verified.http://www.summitracing.com/parts/TR...0/?image=large
I need help with the cam, the cam is hydralic flat tappet. I want a streetable cam, one that i dont have to change torque converter, on that has been used befor and makes good power. Here is a comp cam number i found i thought the lift was somwhere in the range i am lookin for CL12-365-4 then the injector size? 38? would i then have to use a stand alone fuel managment system? or could i get a chip burned for the computer after i get all the specs?
Sorry for the long message just i want to make a thirdgen firebird the makes me smile when i see mustang in the rear view mirror. suggestions or possibly tell me what you would do

Re: Supercharged 350 formula
Piston depends on your boost level for lower boost. Those piston's with 76cc heads and a zero deck with a .040 gasket for quench will get you approx 8.5:1. IMO You will want to be running a pretty good amount of boost, like 15psi and higher if you are going to have your CR that low.
If you are going to run lower boost, say up to 10 psi I'd run flat tops with a zero deck that way you can run a .040 MLS gasket. Your quench would be perfect and with 76cc heads youd have about a 9.5:1 ratio which would be great for lower boost and keep good power when you are not under boost.
Without knowing more about the cam the added exhaust duration and LSA look compatible with a blower.
What stall in your current converter, I'd say you want at least a 2500 to get things moving, depending on your rear end gear ratio.
Injector depends again on boost level lower levels of boost are easily done with 24-30lb injectors and the FMU. If you run $59 or an aftermarket engine management that reads boost then you need to run a larger injector. That I am not sure about because I haven't done much research on it because I will be running the FMU.
Tuning/buring a chip is a must IMO, if you want it to run right, be reliable and last you have to tune it.
Also, why run a flat tappet cam not a roller cam? Roller's make better power.
