The ASSC setup consists of 2 additional reinforcements. 1 support bolts the bottom of the Procharger bracket to the block near the oil pan. The other is a rod that attaches to one of the center exhaust header bolts and goes to the corner of the bracket beneath the blower. This one is threaded to allow you to align the bracket and lock it in place. These 2 combine to eliminate the flex in the bracket by securing the outer ends.

The downside to them is you have to remove them if you ever need to change the serpentine belt (for the accessories) because the belt runs inside them. And it makes the #3 plug a pain to reach to change it.

Great. Not a problem. Benefits out weigh the hassle I think.

I have been searching for a website and pics, but come up with nothing.

I did find the guys phone number who makes them. So thats my first lead. Any other info would be helpful.

Post #29 in this thread by articwhitez, the last pic in that post has the added support brackets mounted to the main bracket, it's not installed, but it shows you what they look like.

Re: My custom F1A installed pictures

A few things I did to prevent bracket flex on my Buick 455 D-1.
Drilled and retapped the head bolt holes for 7/16 studs
Made custom grade 8 studs to mount brackets on.
All the spacers were made out of 1" diameter stock.
Added a second bracket behind the first with 1" diameter spacers between the two brackets. Provides the mount for the Sweet power steering pump also.

Re: My custom F1A installed pictures

Quick question, do the brackets that come for the camaro specific D1 install have a tensioner? I am buying a used setup and they guy says it doesn't.

Doesn't make any sense.

yes, they're supposed to have a tensioner. I've seen D1 and F1 setups with a spring loaded tensioner like the one I just installed, but originally the P1SC and D1SC years back came with a screw type (fixed tension).

Re: My custom F1A installed pictures

Ah I see. So are there aftermarket ones that can be bought that are spring loaded? I will be purchasing stock brackets with an F1 and 12 rib pulleys!

Tensioner is the only thing I need to get figured out. The seller said he didn't have one. I will of course ask about what heppened to it before forking over my $. Still got a killer deal even if I have to get an aftermarkt one.

The build is finally moving forward. 700HP here I come! lol
