would a 48mm TB give me more velocity?

I currently have a TB the previous owner modified to @ 52mm but the blades hit the walls not allowing the throttle to close fully. I have another stock tpi TB I could use. would the smaller blades give me more velocity with the boost? Its a sn92 pushing 5-7 psi. Thanks for any opinions

Dont see why velocity at the TB would even matter. It could be a bottle neck running the smaller TB. I doubt you would be maxing out the 48's flow capability though, just might see a slight delay in throttle response.
