Roots blower mounted to carb intake?

My friend was telling me about a whipple supercharger that mounts right to a carbureted intake. Anyone ever hear of this? I can't find it.

Never heard of it. Doesn't sound very efficient to me though

No not at all but it does sound like it would be cheap and fine for a beater truck or something.

Re: Roots blower mounted to carb intake?

There was a wipple kit that bolted to a stock tbi intake, and then the tbi mounted to the back of the blower.
I think most whipples have a small exit port at the front on the bottom of the case, it would probably be quite easy to bolt one to a 4bbl intake, and would work very well with a good single plane manifold.
