Purge kit

ok so some of you will prolly think that this is stupid, however, iv been thinking about a purge kit latley. The thing is i dont run nitrous and dont plan to. Is there anyway i could get a small bottle and just set it up to give it that purge look. again if you think its stupid just laugh at me and move on. please only helpful advice.

Re: Purge kit

You could, but it'll just make you look stupid. If you can't handle the pointing and laughing you'll get posting this question, you won't be able to handle it on the streets when you get a beat down by someone who thinks they just beat your car on spray.

You'd be further ahead to get a C02 tank, a feed line, and an old bottle. Nitrous is expensive just to vent it. C02 is cheaper, but it'd still be a silly idea.

Re: Purge kit

well, to be honest with you, the purge kit is half the nitrous system. All you'd need is a fogger and you'd be set.... Having purge without nitrous is like that whistle you put in your exhaust that makes is sound like a turbo spooling...

Re: Purge kit

You could try to get a sneaky pete bottle and a used powershot solenoid. The small bottle could be hidden under the hood somewhere so you do not have to run as much line. The used powershot solenoid should be cheap if you can find one.

Re: Purge kit

Try DynoTuneNitrous

Their 304 or 305 kits look like what you want.

Hey phuckstick, I'm not the one looking for just a purge kit to make it look like I have a nitrous system. That link I posted showed you some options that are out there; something YOU could have searched for on your own.

Re: Purge kit

I personally thought the "try this" post was kind of rude. You could have just not said anything.

Re: Purge kit

i dont wanna make it look like i have nitrous. i just think it looks cool. if i wanted nitrous id get it. but i dont want to put nitrous into my motor. u could have just skipped over this thread if u thought it was sooo stupid. I asked here instead of googleing it because i figured this would be best for the car i own. if peoepl googled everything there would be no point for this site. you could just google how to do a motor swap or anything else. iv always thought this site was very helpful but after this idk if il recomend this site to anyone.

How exactly isn't this site helpful? You got multiple replies telling you how to do what you have in mind, and telling you how asinine the idea is in general. Would you rather a few random people on a forum laughed at your post, or would you rather it happened in person or with your friends watching? I'd say you got really good advice and a reasonable response to your question. Sorry if no one else thinks it's a good idea, but you can't really blame the forum for anyone finding your idea humorous.
