Re: Ebay turbo kit for camaro
I'm not a turbo convert yet, but I would be extremely skeptical of this kit. There isn't a brand name on the turbos, so I doubt they are of reasonable quality. The kit seems to be pretty complete and it may not be a bad starter kit for someone looking to get into turbo tech. I just have to question the quality. I looked at fabbing some 316SS headers for my car a while back and they were going to set me back at least $600 bucks. I remember a decent turbonetics turbo coming in aroung $600 each. Remember the old addage, "You get what you pay for." So buyer beware.

Looks like another cheap ssautochrome kit sold by someone else.I would never buy a turbo kit off ebay if it sounds to good to be true it probably is.If you want a turbo have a trusted shop build you a set up it will cost double that but won't blow apart.

Re: Ebay turbo kit for camaro
As stated it is a lower quality kit. But also a low price. Only you can decide if the quality is good enough for your vehicle.
The kit is just a box of parts to build a turbo system. Do not expect it to fit as a bolt-on setup. Be prepared with an array of tools (grinder, cut-off saw, 115v MIG welder, etc). Nothing fancy, just basic metal work DIY tools.
Is the kit worth it in my opinion? No. The reason being I have enough knowledge know to find used parts out of the yards or on classified ADs. If I didn't have that knowledge then that kit would be worth the asking price to me. The more handy you are with scrounging and fabbing the less that kit is worth.
