NGK Plug question
I have AFR 1038 heads a D1SC SC, and hooker comp plus headers on a 1986 Camaro. I am tryomg to fing out what NGK plugs I should use. I will be using a lot of boost, but the car needs these plugs to start. I inderstand that the thread length is 3/4", gasket, but I am hoping someone can tell me if there is a shorter plug so I don't burn my MSD 90* wires.
Thanks,
Steve King

Re: NGK Plug question
Thanks Ronny, I am under the impression that, even with the booties, the wire has to be replaced every 1000 miles. Am I wrong about that? Thanks for the tip about accel.

Re: NGK Plug question
I have had good luck with protective sleeves on header applications. Of course your supercharged setup will make more heat in the header primaries than most NA motors. I hate ACCEL ignition parts but you may not have much choice. It seems I have seen other brands of short plugs. Perhaps a search on Summit's website might reveal something.
