I have a L98 that i am about to start working on im about to install headers and upgrade from tpi to hsr intake. I was wondering that i might come up soon with about 5k and i was wondering what upgrades would be the best to get my car up there on the drag strip safely thanks.

 

For 5K I would think your best bet would be a supercharger kit like a Procharger. It would probably require some mods because of the HSR but it wouldn't be anything horrible I'd imagine. Just some ducting changes to the piping.

 

and some suspension components. u will get tired of replacing windshields like i did after 4. and dont forget brakes. most important part. i would not spend all 5,000 on just a power adder. i myself would rebuild the motor and tranny and get my hands on some sfc's. maybe a new rear end. then the rest can go towards some form of power adder.
