Its alive! 401 Twin Turbo version V2.72 :)
Car is idling alright now...still abit rich but working the tune. I got some things I need to do first before I can think about driving it tho.
Setup is same shortblock as before but with Speier Racing v2.72 heads (245cc heads, 330cfm 2.100" valve) and a big BRE custom hyd roller (Bauer racing - high 240's duration, .640" lift) ported vic E efi intake. I HAD AFR 195cc heads and a mild 233 deg hyd roller, .564" lift. SO huge change.
Exhaust isnt done but I hung some Dynomax ultraflo rounds, 3" inlet, 6" case in place of the bullets.. It was too loud with straight bullets which is odd, since with the smaller cam and heads it was quiet. I guess thats how much more air is moving thru this motor.
950-1000 rpm fast idle, I'll try to get it down to 850 or so but it doesnt make much vacuum ~10" Hg so I need to keep it fast.

Re: Its alive! 401 Twin Turbo version V2.72 :)
Justin, did you go with another Bauer Camshaft, or is that the same one you ran with when you were running NA? By the way, how does the front look with the turbo's lowered and out of the way of the hood now...?
I got a new harwood 4" cowl to put on. I didnt want to go with a 4" but oh well, it was local and I picked it up to save on shipping. No chance to patch the holes in the other hood. It looks like a regular camaro with a big cowl hood now with the turbos hidden. I may have to paint the intercooler black to hide it to make it more "sleeper" lol but no hiding that exhaust note

Lol stock 10 bolt needs to get me thru initial tuning before the 12 bolt goes in. Not sure its gonna last tho i see fluid leaking thru the axle tubes where it goes into the housing! Ouch

I have the same 70's but larger .96 a/r housings for more top end. If fuel system can handle it, i want to see 900-1000 whp

Figure on dyno jet the old setup was mid 700's. It was mid high 600's on a well known low reading mustang dyno here. New heads cam intake and hotside should be making bunch more power with an extra 1000 rpm. Should be interesting

Not much can help keep it planted. Need some sticky tires thats for sure but i dont expect it to hook on the street. Didnt work with 640's whp, not gonna with 800+ either

IF it can leave in boost and 60 foot hard, 8's shouldnt be a problem but I am not gonna have a trans brake in it for some time so this year it may just go 9's at 150+ just rolling off the line. We shall see.

Thanks. Been along time and still work to be done. Redoing exhaust. Hung the duals higher to get better ground clearance and added the bullets to the driveshaft tunnel piping to help quiet it down more
