Procharger serpentine accessory drive, does have this? Does it fit in our cars?
I currently am running stock TPI serp brackets with a standard crap procharger bracket. It has horrible belt slip, I have two other threads just trying to address that issue. I then noticed that Procharger sells a stand alone bracket setup that is serp for SBC. This seems like it might be better than what I have now even though it looks to have less belt wrap, it has a spring loaded thensioner.
I have searched google, ebay TGO, etc and no one has pics of the setup with no AC, there is only 2 pics I can find and they are of the setup on an engine stand. I want to see this in a car, preferably in a thirdgen.
Thanks for any help guys.

Dennis check out procharger's websire look in the gallery pics and under the chevy carb'd section 3or 4 cars there with that carb bracket on it and Larry from ASSC has a car in there too with an F2 on it thing is SWEET

Was over at the procharger site and came across the 85 to 91 corvette setup.
http://owners.procharger.com/supercharged/231
Seems like a lot smoother looking install too....

If you're not worried about keeping A/C, Larry at ASSC has a pretty good bracket setup he sells for our cars.

Does anyone have any pictures of the ASSC bracket?
Seems like ASSC comes up all the time, but it is always seems hard to find pics of their products

Nice. That's what I will do too. What's all the cog stuff all about? And finally does anyone know if a cog dive is any louder than a serpentine?

Any idea about the sound the cog makes? I don't want to get any louder.

I think I read that it is like $750 for what is in the pic.
Anyone have pics of it all installed? If it actually does fix everything I am happy to pay the money. I just want to be sure this fixes the damn slipping and doesn't cause any other new problems.

I talked with Larry last year and he said that if I run COG I am screwed since I don't have a BBC double keyway snout on my crank. Damn. He said the best I can do is run the 12 rib and get the brackets to dial out the flex. I should be able to get up around 12 PSI, not going to see the 14 I had hoped for. Either way, project is frozen until I buy a house.
I will post back here when things start rolling again.

With a F1 you should see more than 12 psi, I know

Are you using stock style serpentine brackets? Also are you running a standard crank SBC snout?

Bringing back from the dead...
TransAmGTA88: Can you explain your bracket setup in detail for me?
I would like to know if it is better to leave the TPI setup altogeather or just try and go SBC Serp from Procharger.

I was the last to post in that thread! Lol. My problem is that everyone is working with p and d units. I am running a f1. I need to find a way to get it mounted with no belt slip, out bracket flex. I am also running a12 ruin

Gta324: thanks for the reply. I am very familiar with your custom bracket. I am really looking to see if anyone has an f1 mounted in a thirdgen with stock procharger brackets, or slightly modified. Happy to hear you have a no slip f1 setup. I am sure I can fan something up, but would rather buy something if possible.

Eric89sc:
1. So is that the 12 rib on a F1?
2. Also are those the stock SBC brackets?
3. Is that thing in the picture with all the holes to the left of the head unit the relocation bracket they sell?
4. Are you running braided line for brake lines to your line lock? I have always wanted to do that, but people always tell me it is a bad idea.
5. Is that the stock clocking of the head unit? If not, did you clock it yourself?
6. Can I see a picture of your crank pulley?
7. Is that a short of long water pump and is it driven from in front or behind the blower pulley?
Sorry for all the questions...

I run a F1A with the serpentine bracket and the ATI Sprag Clutch Super PUlley on a cog setup.
I also have a set of the reinforcement brackets to stop the bracket from flexing. The rubber hose on the bend almost touches the strut tower but the head unit is clear.

Here is a picture of how close my blower to the fender was.
Yes that is a sbc bracket on a F1A.
The bracket with all the holes on the head is there relocation bracket works perfect.
The blower is not re-clocked.
Yes I was running all braided line for the front of the car, I pulled it all out now though and Im going to run hard line.
Ill get a picture tonight of the bottom pulley but it uses one v-belts inside for the power steering and then the 12 rib belt, one v belt that runs the water pump and alternator.

Eric: your inner fender is unmodified? Just want to confirm. If this truly works and has no belt slip, I may be willing to ditch my tpi brackets and go full sbc with relocation bracket.

The killer on this will be the sprag clutch pulley only comes in one size. So you're left looking for crank pulley options only to get you the rpm you want out of the head unit.

ok, like the last time looked at it then, would need a huge crank pulley so not an option.......

Re: Procharger serpentine accessory drive, does have this? Does it fit in our cars?
Sorry to bring this back from the dead, but I finally bought a house and did some upgrades so now it is back to the Camaro.
Doing some body floor board and roll cage work now, but soon after will be back to the engine issue and I still don't have a clear path to an answer.
I would like to run serpentine belts for my accessories. Alt, water, PS.
I am considering the Procharger SBC serpentine bracket but have never seen it in a thirdgen and all their pics are poor angles or never show the non-AC version.
I love all the advice on thirdgen.org but for some reason I can't seem to get a clear answer as to what people are running. Some say SBC bracket, but then their pics look like they have modified wheels wells. Other say they are running TPI stuff that has stiffening brackets. I know this is a "safe" way to go, but I really don't like the look of those brackets since I don't have anything running on the passenger side, just a bunch of metal and a tensioner.
I can't even find any head on pics of the Procharger non-AC serp brackets on an engine, on a stand or something like that!!
This is pretty frustrating... Hoping I can do some more searching over at yellow bullet or something like that. Even though I would much rather stay here on TGO.

Here are some pics showing the AC bracket removed. I made my own face place out of stainless steel plate and used a comp LS tensioner. I couldn't stand having that big ugly AC bracket in place just for a belt tensioner. Hope this helps...

Wow this is great!
Can you post a part number for the tensioner, or pictures of the ss plate alone? I would love to copy that setup.

I did have a CAD file for the SS plate, but when I lost my hard drive the file went as well. I may have a extra plate at home that I used to mock everything up. I'll see if I can find it.

Re: Procharger serpentine accessory drive, does have this? Does it fit in our cars?
Hey thanks TranAM, this is great info and pictures.
This might be the best of both worlds. Something as simple as using the stock brackets to hold the PS and alt, while still not having to have that massive AC bracket doing nothing.
Few more questions:
1. Any concern of the bracket flexing since it has to be on such long bolts? I see there are three to the bracket, but only 2 on the tensioner.
2. Did you have a machine shop make the bracket? If so, how much did they charge you?
3. What radiator/fan setup are you running and do you like it?
4. Do those water lines running to the thermostat housing area from the back of the motor really help? I figure it would help get the hot coolant from the back of the block back to the front better maybe?
5. I think we have the same carb. C&S 750 aerosol carb is what I have. There seems to be something strange on the back of it in one of your shots. What is that? (First post, second image).
Sorry for all the questions. I don't have easy access to a machine shop, but I do like this setup so I am trying to gauge if it is worth the cash +trouble. My car is far from getting this far along, but good to do research early. Thanks!

Thanks!

1. Haven't had issues with it flexing. I did use 3/4" S.S. pipe to help make the tensioner solid.
2. Made everything myself, created a template. Did a CAD layout and burned the S.S. plate on a plasma table.
3. I've gone down a long road trying to keep my motor cool. I've got a custom BeCool (dual pass) radiator. I don't have those flex-o-lite fans in the car anymore. They didn't pull enough CFM. I've got a dual fans out of 03' Chrysler cirrus, they are suppose to pull close to 3800 CFM on high setting. On a 80 deg. day car will run at 200 to 205 driving it normal.
4. I don't know for certain that they help, but after going down the road that I previously discussed I figured it can't hurt.
5. Mine is 850, the thing your seeing in the back is the oil sending unit.

Re: Procharger serpentine accessory drive, does have this? Does it fit in our cars?
Thanks for the super quick responses.
Any chance, if you find the CAD, you would sell me one of those plates?

I would be interested if you find the CAD stuff and could have more made. I am about to install a P1SC and would love to get rid of the AC bracket and just run a tensioner.
