nx plate question

OK, here's the scoop. I have a NX Hitman kit for my 355 I recently built. I'm using a performer RPM intake and the NX plate doesn't quite line up, there's a few edges where the manifold or gasket sticks out. A couple of very noticeable spots are right underneath the plate jets. Should I grind the manifold to better match the plate or at least in the corners where it sticks out under the NX jets?

The pictures should explain all.

Thanks!
