Anyone running 882 heads on a turbo setup? If so what's your setup and power level?

 

Dont know anyone using them but with race gas and enough boost they should make over 600-800 hp. Guys have used other stock irons with power in that region, but its much easier to make power with better top end parts. Iron vortecs from scoggin dickey or summit could work and believe they are thicker than factory vortecs, which is necessary for boosted power.

 

Have a friend with a 70 Chevelle vert that runs 6 lbs boost through a cheapie 383 with those heads. Wrong (Isky 264 mega FT) cam 3.08 gears no porting
Not turbo but a 144 B and M blower close enough

I wouldnt put a lot of boost to a GM 400 doesnt matter what I think though

It pulled very strong was surprised. Motor was a mismatched bomb but he didnt care. Better ways to do it but thats all he had to work with at the time.
Many of those heads are cracked make sure and get them magnafluxed before spending one dime on them. Like the idea of vortecs for the money cant go wrong.
