Fueling Ideas for S/C
While on the Dyno last Sunday:
87 IROC using -6 AN fuel supply and feed line with a 434 on a Vortech S/C using a 3:48 pulley got me 5 lbs of boost at 6500 rpm and I couldn't get enough fuel while in boost and it wanted to go lean...
Determined that it was only running a Walbro 255 fuel pump... So that was why it was running lean!!!
So, I have now decided that I really want to play.. I am buying 3:125 pulley which should get me around 12 lbs of boost at 6500 rpm.. So, with this I also know I need to get rid of the fuel supply line and probably need the -10 AN or -12 AN fuel line not sure which.. And I am look at the Aero1000 but now sure how to rig this up in the existing tank around the existing sender... Anyone with pics and advise would be greatly appreciated...

Re: Fueling Ideas for S/C
Exactly,, I am pushing almost 700 now, and I need to find out what the 400 is capable of supporting..
I do like the idea of the areomotive 340lph pump that Project89 suggested... Hopefully he can chime back in with details and specs on what it can support for HP and wiring capabilities...

Re: Fueling Ideas for S/C
Single 255 on high voltage and large -10 line with lower pressure could squeeze 550-600 whp. But thats taxing the pump hard lol twin walbros would be easiest imo unless you can fit the 340-400 lph pumps in stock tank
I have not seen results with single 340 pumps and didnt know 400 existed. Will research these because i may need to do twin 340's soon.
If you cant try a 4th gen plastic tank. They have a bigger hole at the top. Easier to fit twin 255's on those tanks.
PM Lonnie P for ideas. He does fuel systems and could let you know if a single 340 or 400 is doable or recommend a twin 255
-8 feed line is all you really need. To be honest if you have enough pump -6 can make 700, but its harder on the pump. -10 if you can afford that would give most room to grow and be easier for pump to handle. Larger the line, less pressure is needed to flow fuel so you get more out of the pumps

Found this info on the walbro 400lph off another website. Looks like it came to market a few years ago, first time I ever heard of this pump.
