Superram NOS Foggers ???

Like the title says Should I install a second stage of nitrous on my supperram intake? I already have a throttle body plate nos brand setup on the car. I have heard rumors such as the plenum lid blowing clean off. Im just looking for some insight about doing this. There is on one superram intake that has a direct injection fogger setup floating around the Internet I ran across. I also dont know if the plate setup is already dangerous enough and to just stick with a 200hp wet shot. Sorry probably should give some details on my build 91 z28 4 bolt 355 forged pistons forged h beam rods fordged crank aluminum dart pro cnc heads superram intake NOS plate 1:6 rollers and a wicked cam.

Re: Superram NOS Foggers ???

Nitrous port injection will have better distribution than wet flow through the TPI/Superram manifold intended for dry flow.

Any nitrous backfire has the possibility to blow something out. The wet flow mixture in the plenum will make the bang bigger. The large, thin area of the lid makes it a weak point. And, I would not expect it to blow off "clean", but really messy.

If worried, you may consider adding (fabrication) a blow off plate like found on superchargers, ala Top Fuel... just a spring loaded plate over a hole to give the backfire/pressure somewhere to go, instead of through the lid:

Re: Superram NOS Foggers ???

Has anyone on the forum even attempted this cause im having second thoughts of drilling and welding such a sexy, expensive and rare intake. Should I just get a second plate setup and run two stages that way. Is the individual fogger setup really going to be that great spraying into the plenum rather than into each runner like on a single plane carburetor style manifold ?

Look up ArcticWhiteZ. He's been there, done that.

He might even still have the NOS kit for sale!
