Walbro 400LPH ?

Anyone try the new walbro 400LPH? I have a 255lph in tank and it won't support my boost goals. I'm considering swapping it to the new walbro, which should deliver 340lph of fuel up to 70psi.

Another thing I could do is run a booster pump inline, but I'm thinking a larger in tank is a better idea.

A lot of guys on ls1tech are using them. I believe my friend is using one in his 04 Mustang with a 2.4 Whipple. Around 650whp and one single Walbro 400 feeds it..

I would say if you already have one 255lph, just add another. Its not a lot of work.

Do you mean add a 255lph in the tank for two total, or put a booster pump inline?

I would do another intank if you can

Or inline 044 bosch. The 255 feeding the bosch does help increase flow some and really helps keep pressure up. Import guys do that often and see 500-600 whp

But dual 255's is good to 1300 hp crank

If I remove the tank again, I'd like to just swap the pump rather than do duals.

The 044 bosch inline sounds interesting. The 255 will free flow about 280 liters per hour. I wonder what the specs are of the 044 bosch as a booster ?

I have been looking at the AEM 50-1200, 320LPH at 45 PSI, 265LPH at 70 PSI, E85 compatable, $120 each

Re: Walbro 400LPH ?

Yup I just meant add another in there. I did it like 5 years ago. Worked great. I simply just put another pump next to the one in there with a piece of cut hose between them to space them out. Then gear clamped them together. I then just used the EVAP port on the top of the sender for the second feed. There MAY still be pics on my old built thread boostedroc. Unsure I have cleared a lot of that build out of my photobucket.

Its a bit of a PITA to get them into the tank without messing up the pump filter. I had to position the second pump a couple different ways to get it. A lot of people on LS1tech also have ran 3 intank 255lph pumps. I couldn't imagine jamming all that in there!

I'm using the e85 compatible Walbro 400 in my car and it has been awesome so far! The e85 version is actually close to a 430lph pump but they still call it a 400. Due to the "turbine" style pump vs the 255's geroter pump it's quieter than my 255 was and moves a TON of fuel! I would highly recommend it! Can't really beat it for the money! I'm running a Racetronix HotWire kit to feed it as well.
