Bad injector question

I have some 50lb injectors on my supercharged setup, I been trying to diagnose why its smoking and failed to pass inspection with a 800hc reading at idle

So I was wondering if I could possibly have a leaking fuel injector, I pulled all the plugs and found number 8 looking rough so I put my figuers on all 8 injectors as the car idled, every single injector has a very discernible deep click but number 8 was very soft and weak.

I fear that its stuck open or not opening at all, the car cruises good and pulls good but iv had this problem since installing the supercharger about 300 miles ago so I dont know if its been missing power all along or what.

Here is a pic of # 8 compaired to number 4

Re: Bad injector question

The # 8 plug looks more oil fouled then fuel fouled. Which in turn caused a misfire that then showed up as high HC's.

Best case is a bad intake valve stem seal, possible intake manifold leak at that runner, or PCV (depends upon where it is fed into the manifold).

Worst case is a broken ring(s) or piston on that cylinder.

Re: Bad injector question

yeah I know it looks oil fouled, but something is clearly going on with my injector. I want to figure out the injector, then go and see whats up with the oil. I just replaced the valve stem seal and put some marvel mystery oil in the cylinder increase a oil ring was stuck. then I want to start it and noticed the injector.
