Help with a serpentine/blower combo fitment
I have a freshly built 383 motor that I'm gonna mount in my 87 Camaro and I have this B&M 144 Roots blower lying around and I wanted to install it on my engine, I was wondering if anyone has experience in what kinda belt drives I need? or if there is a pulley kit somewhere out there I can bolt on?
The Blower I have came with a crankshaft pulley that has 3 ribs for v-belts, then the blower pulley that sticks out to turn the blower...
Since I'm getting everything new I would like to get a pulley kit that includes all the accessories like alternator, a\c, power steering, water pump. I was looking into a March Performance pulley kit but there tech guys said there kits are not compatible with Roots blowers...
In my opinion I think the blower snout sticks out enough to clear one of those March kits but I could be wrong.

I know they sell kits to work with the old style E Force blowers. http://m.summitracing.com/parts/EDL-1565/

Re: Help with a serpentine/blower combo fitment
I run a serpentine for the blower only, and v belts for the rest...but I don't have a Weiand. I ended up going down to a 2 groove v belt pulley on the crank, a single v belt on the water pump. One belt for the PS pump and another for the alternator. No AC...that complicates things, but I've done that too for a while. I'm surprised you got pulleys in your kit...mine only came with the crank pulley for the blower, the blower pulley itself, one serpentine belt and one idler pulley. Had to figure out the v belt stuff on my own.
