Still up in the air cuz i want to take motor out to clean and rebuild anyway.
Just tuned a 383 tpi setup with a d1 making 8.5 psi at 5000 rpm, it made 521/583 so far. I think my basic 305 should get to 350 whp easily

Dave has all the time in the world, not sure what is taking him so long. Me on the other hand, I work really long hours during the day, and at night, well, my nights can get insanely busy lol...

I think I had like .010" clearance on mine on the bottom. I suspect different pumps might have different depths as machine tolerances are not critical.

Make sure you check the clearance with that bell after you install your pump. You may need to grind it more so it sits flush and doesn't hit the case.

ive also got to find out were i can pick up just the input to output shaft bushing
took 4 hours today to figure out there was 2 different height low/rev pistons
first one we were trying the clutches stacked up to high and had negative clearnace after measureing every single piece except the piston we finally figured it out
besdies that the steels i had for the low/rev only had 3 good ones out of the 5 needed , luckily my friend had a new in the box 700r4/4l60 kit and it uses the same steels
will be 3 weeks before my buddy is back in town to finish assembling the transmission for me so i have a lil time. for now im going to drop a stock 700 behind the engine and get it broken in

Re: Single turbo 352 iroc 1000hp or bust the grand finale
got the valves adjusted , checked all the bearings in the bottom end and retourged the main and rod bolts, installed the new hv/hp pump and pickup got the intake bolted on , last thinig to do was weld a fitting onto the oilpan for the single return line and i bought the wrong friggen pipe bung so i had to stop for the day.
ill run down to the hardware store in the am pick up the proper bung and weld up the oil pan so i can get thyat bolted on and get the engine filled with oil prime the motor and put it in the car for breakin
as of tonight when i left the shop

this is were my trans kit was missing a bushing

and the difference in between a stock and machined low rev piston

You had the piston machined so you can run 5 frictions/5 steels right?

Re: Single turbo 352 iroc 1000hp or bust the grand finale
The pistons are brand new in the box flat tops, 2 valve reliefs, with brand new wrist pins, they're not floating though, press fit.
Only problem is the one wrist pin is bound in the one stock piston, idk if the connecting rod is ok to use or not. You'd have to press it out and check to see.
The connecting rods and stock pistons I'll do for free, just gotta take care of shipping.

Haha, Joe, I was in fact MIA for a little bit. Too much going on in my life, unfortunately. Engine is gone, local member picked it up days ago. Don't have much left to support both yours and Dave's builds other than a 7" Azpen Android Tablet that may use Megasquirt's Shadow Dash and Logger app and will fit in your radio area, haven't bothered to try and download MS though because I went with a full windows 7" tablet for my setup. I do have the MS apps on my Lenovo tablet though, I might sell that tablet too. Also have a Wii entertainment system in the box with two free games, and an additional three games, if anyone has kids...

his lift does have the sliding jacking plates as well so u can do suspension work on the lift , he just doesnt have the jacks.
i personally like the 2 post lifts better , but the 4 post is much easier to just get a car up in the air and do what u need to do
