I would go with a fuel pressure, air/fuel and boost gauge. Search the archives on other peoples rides with S/C's.

i'd add exhaust gas temperature (EGT) meter. somebody here will know better why it seems to be important, since many turbo projects have it.

Gauges I would use:

Boost pressure
Fuel pressure
Exhuast Temp
Wideband o2 Air/Fuel mixture

Not really needed but nice to have
Charge air temperature
Knock meter (other than the factiry unit, allows you to see problems because you ussually don't hear them till its too late.

Exhaust temp gauge is used similar to a air/fuel gauge, knowing the sweet spot for the engine to be burning at at WOT can be seen in the exhaust temps and helps in the overal tuning of the engine. I am not sure what a Supercharged V8 should be runnning but my Nissan Skyline is 850° C on a 2.0 single turbo application, too high and its running lean, to low and its running rich (rich will cool the pistons due to the extra fuel)

I think the three most important are boost, knock, and air/fuel or EGT or both.EGT more if your gonna run racegas alot, otherwise air/fuel will do fine

with plenty of boost, it's easy to melt pistons just because running too lean or too much timing. knock and EGR or A/F with boost gauge looks like optimal instruments.
