Rotating Assembly Question
I know this is the Power Adder section, but I'm curious on what everyone is using for their rotating assemble and harmonic balancer? Did you buy a kit from Eagle, Scat of Ohio crankshaft? I'm going to be building a turbo motor that will be street/strip driven. So far I have the following:
"880" 4 bolt main block, 1 pc. rear main seal
AFR 195 heads, L-98 style w/ angle plug heads
Holly Stealth Ram intake w/ 58 mm throttle body
It will be controlled by an Accel Gen 7 DFI
I have an SPA Turbo and will possibly using CX Racing headers.
I still need a cam and injectors.
Any help on advise is greatly appreciated.

Re: Rotating Assembly Question
You'll find the limits of the block long before you find the limits on any of the brands for rotating assemblies listed above. Howevere I'd recommend a quality Harmonic balancer such as an ATI. A partial fill with Hardblok in the water jackets and possibly even putting Billet main caps in place of the cast caps will help greatly with the longevity of the block.

Re: Rotating Assembly Question
I have the same question with a 700rwhp procharged goal... So I should go with a standard dart block? I assume forged rotating assembly and head studs...

Re: Rotating Assembly Question
For 700HP I'd look at the Dart SHP, I made dam near 1500HP with mine. Callies Compstar forged crank and h beam rods would be a good choice for crank and rods. Also look into a diamond piston built for boost. I also would be afraid of running 9.0-9.5:1 compression.

Also do a billet splayed cap conversion. It may be possible to hold 700 on 4 bolt mains with good arp main studs. Might want to run bearing clearance alittle looser to account for some movement
Any of those crank brands are fine for oem blocks. All that stuff has been used to 1000 hp or more
