Chip, Fuel Injectors, and Stalling?

Alirght guys I have a few questions. Right now I have a 89 Trans Am GTA with a 350 with a mild cam, flat top pistons, hooker headers, 3" exhaust, etc. Running 10:1 Compression. Still need to work on head and just wanna port out the stock TPI Intake and runners. My car also originally came with a 5.0 instead of the 5.7. Now I have a few questions.

1. I am looking to get bigger injectors. My intake on it now is still the same intake on the 5.0 and the same injectors. So what size was the 5.0 injectors? Also what size should I look at getting?

2. I'm having a issue where my car wont stay running unless im feeding it fuel. It wont learn its idle. This has happened in the past ever since I swapped engines so figured it was because the computer was for the 5.0. So it there any chip I can get to fix this issue? Or not sure if they have tuners for them? Also any recommendations on a performance chip at the same time?

Thanks for the Help!

305 injectors are 19#hr, 350 uses 22#hr.
Depending on the cam you may need larger than 22#hr but you could always increase fuel pressure for higher #hr flow.
You should be running a 350 tune for a starter than it can be refined if you datalog and retune. (A diy prom thing).
Assuming this is tpi maf it will self learn alittle but not from a 305 to 350. Your engine would be running real lean with those injectors and tune.

Do they make a tuner I can buy for the vehicle? Or would it be better to try and get a ECM from a 5.7?

The ecm is the same 350 or 305. The file .bin is different.
You would need to have your memcal reprogrammed or buy a moates.net g1 and burn2 and a few sst27sf512 chips.

This is all new too me, so some what getting lost lol.

Go to moates.net? Buy a G1 Chip? Then buy a Burn 2 Chip? And they connect to each other, then another chip connects to that and that plugs into my ECM?

I cant find the sst27sf512 on their website. Kind of lost with some of this.

Re: Chip, Fuel Injectors, and Stalling?

My issue is I don't know how to program a chip. I'm looking to just buy a chip and plug it in. Maybe even have someone else willing to program it for me if they are able?

Could I maybe by a Hypertech 350 Chip and that'll do the trick?

Hypertechs work, but may be easier to get your original chip tuned.. If TunedPerformance isn't in the business any more, you can check out scotthansen.net - he can change the injector constant for you and make adjustments for the cam if needed.
