I have seen people take turbos from diesels and put them on their sbc, i am wondering how common it is to see and the practicality of doing this

If you find a good one and set it up right, could last forever, boost it too much, boom, as with any power adders.

Pretty sure roadkill put a powerstroke turbo on a stock carb'd 302 and it made like 550 crank horsepower. The trick is having your fuel system up to par and not having the turbo cram 30lbs of boost down its throat. Timing is key too.

A lot of the Borg Warner turbos like the T6 s400 series were made for diesels and tons of people use them. I've got a s480 going on my 6.0L in my 91 Z

Just how much would you say this would cost new, hx35 turbos turbo manifolds custom made or new ones all the pipes intercoolers wastegates bovs oil plumbing how much would you say that would be?
