im wondering is two small wastegates better than one large one on a single turbo setup

Its preference really. I run 2 - 38mm tials on mine but I have to since i run a TRUE twin scroll.

Pro's and cons to both. You could get a lot better control out of two gates especially if you can only fit one large one in a terrible place. Then there is also if say a gate sticks or fails, at least the other could save the motor. The advantage of one is definitely piping and hoses. Less to worry about

Either will get the job done.

Yeah it depends. Like above if its a twin scroll divided setup run 2. If a single merge, running one large one makes a simpler setup. One vacuum line to supply, one valve to worry about. Less chance of one failing or something odd happening

but one large is physically larger than two small lol if room is an issue may package twin gates easier. Two smalls can be cheaper than a large single depending what you get

most setups i would try a single for simplicity

if its a giant single big power small tire car then two large may be necessary to control it and pass the flow. 1800-2000 hp stuff lol twin 50’s or more may be necessary

im gonna go with the single large one . i remebered i had one over at my buddies house .im gonna run a 7875 on a lm7 5.3 . im only planning on making 5-600 whp .
