350 sbc looking to super charge

Good evening,

Pretty new here and was hoping to get some advice and suggestions. I've been doing some research on super chargers for small blocks, and been getting a lot of different conflicting results on a few details. Id like to run a basic roots style blower maybe the weiand 142 or the edelbrocks eforce. My first issue is I'm unsure of my compression ratio, I've been told its around 10:1 the way it fires up. Is there any feasible way to check? Also the distributor can be of any kind? I currently have a MSD ignition box with a HEI distributor.

My engine specs are 4 bolt main 350 SB bored .020 - cast crank - forged flat top pistons - aluminum performer rpm heads 2.02 - 1.60 - comp cams 12-212-2 .006 280/280 w 110 seperation. johnson lifters - melling rocker arms.

Is there anything that would require an immediate change iyo? my 83 z28 is making 340 hp on the dyno.

Any kind of input is appreciated, if you require more info ill do my best to get back. THANKS!

I ran a 142 on an 11.4:1 small block. Was a lot of fun.

Make sure to order it through summit, etc, because holley/weiand will jerk you off for months and months. Always behind and waiting on one more part.
