Would it be cheaper to but a complete crate LS1 or build one from the block up. I see that they are like 6K and my friend is going to build one for his 95 V6 and he wants to build me one when he does but i am not sure which is cheaper. thanks
Also, i am going to put a LS1 in my car no matter what anyone says, i love my car and cant see getting a new thirdgen when i have spent so much(5K) on the appearance.

It's a lot cheaper to find a junkyard one; they typically come with transmission, accessories, harness and ecm for about $4500 plus shipping.
i too am looking for an LS1. I think they would look evil under the hood of a 3rd Gen, just like the TPI setup. I've talked to my older brother and my dad. They've been into cars since day 1. It seems that putting an LS1 into a 3rd Gen would require some hard work and time...you just gotta be ready to deal with anything that comes along.
