I am looking to supercharge(ATI P1SC) the Lt1 in the Roc, but don't know whether or not it will clear the steering box....the LT1 brackets mount the unit low I think...Maybe I could use brackets for 82-92 to mount the charger up high and fab the hoses or something...

Anyone done this to their LT1 powered 3rdgens? If so, please let me know if it will work or not.

Ok here we go from what i've found, im quite sure the steering box will be in the way of the F body kits as you said, the 88-92 brackets wouldnt work without some custom modding and fabbing because the LT1 balancer is further out from the engine due to the opti which would mess the pulley alignment ALL up, after some searching on the net theres a few people who make kits for the Impala with the LT1, the kit mounts the blower very similar to the 88-92, and i've seen them with ATI, Vortech, and Powerdyne blowers, I went to one guys site who had the ATI on his with a kit from some place in TX, he said the kit sucked so badly and the bracket flexed so much that after he was done the only thing he hadnt replaced was the ATI unit itself, if you want the link to his page i'll post it, let me know if you find anything else helpful on it
