Adding BDS blower to original TPI engine

Recently picked up a 87 IROC and have always wanted to have a 3rd gen with a big blower sticking out of the hood.

I am curious, what does it take to remove the TPI and fuel injection system from the car and make something like this feasible?

A total lack of common sense.

Re: Adding BDS blower to original TPI engine

I was gonna say more! It's gonna be quite the deal to swap from a TPI system to a carb/blower.

If you really want forced induction, keep the TPI and put a centrifugal supercharger on it. Given that's the function over fashion path. The roots blowers look cool but has a look at me effect. A stock engine w a roots blower/upgrades is not worth the time/money. Plus that annoying blower in the field of view.

I'd say somewhere in the $20k-25k range after it's all said and done. You'll have to go over everything if you want it to last at all
