Is it possible to run a roots blower with a TPI set up?
Given the nature of a roots blower, and how it forces air downward, I was wondering if it would be possible to use one of these units in conjunction with a TPI set up. The main reason I am curious about this, is due to the fact roots blowers are so much cheaper than a centrifugal type.
I've heard of side mount blowers that you can then duct to the throttle body (and through an intercooler for more power). I've never seen this mythical beast though and I don't know if there would be enough room next to the engine. Or, get a high rise hood.

A roots blower essentially replaces an intake manifold and the carb bolts right to the top of the blower. That means that the TPI would be totally eliminated by the blower. I have seen many MPFI roots systems, but the TPI can not exist with a roots blower.
