What does it go to? It could be for meth injection.
PS. I would very much recommend intercooling it. I did that in my 82 and it made a massive difference. My IATs are nice and low (93 deg on a 100deg day) at 8lbs of boost.

It seems like every pic i look at seems to have it but cant find anything about it
We intend on intercooling it over the winter but just want to get it up and running especially as it was not built to go on this engine
Hi guys, we have recently picked up a Paxton supercharger to go on my brothers 82 Camaro with my old 88 TPI engine.
We are trying to find out what this small pipe is that comes from the paxton intake pipe as the kit came with no instructions
I could be wrong but that looks ALOT like the LT1 93-97 camaro Paxton kit. If thats the case those cars utilize an air temp sensor in that bung. Possibly a dry nitrous/methi injection port? Might be able to get away with just plugging it...
The initial systems didn't have intercooler, I bet it's for meth. Are you gonna leave it up that high, poking through the hood? It looks like you could get it down w different brackets.

It was designed for old set up without the brackets we have but no it is staying high like that poking through the hood.
its for water/meth injection, tapped into the wiper reservoir my guess.
I have a Paxton like this on my Formula 350. Everyone is correct it is a meth injection. Well sort of. The kit came originally with a cheap universal windshield washer pump. You drilled a hole in your windshield washer fluid reservoir. It came with a Hobbs switch that you piped into the intake manifold vacuum port and it would turn the pump on at somewhere around 1.5lbs of boost. There should be a nozzle inside that you have to occasionally clean out. I think to get the nozzle out there’s a nut on the inside that was really tight. I used a 1/4” impact to break the nut loose. It’s really tight and I thought I was going to snap it off. On the outside should be the brass fitting that I think is 1/8” NPT X barb to attach hose to. That hose goes to washer fluid pump discharge and inlet hose goes to washer fluid reservoir. It’s obviously used to cool the incoming air down to prevent spark knock while under boost. Mine still works. The Paxton really wakes up the TPI. Mine runs somewhat better than a stock LS1 powered Corvette from the late 90s-early 2000s.
