a ideal about nos ?
a ideal about nos ?
hi guys, umm well here is my ideal, it may sound dumb to some, but i was curiours about it , so who would know better then the people running nos, anyhow, im building a 383 , i cant afford to blow up my motor, even though nos is safe if used correctly i still dont want to go there, since i will have plenty of power for the street just off the motor, and later down the road adding a ati supercharger,,,,,, well im going to buy a nos kit anyhow to dress the inside of my car up a little, allso i have a ideal for the purge system , now my guestion is, what would happen if i ran the solinoids and jets further down the air process, like before the maf sensor or just after, where i woudnt be actually spraying directly in my nice 383 , but just enough to get the air cold, which will get it dense enough , plus giving me a good reading on my map sensor, , im running a dual home made ram air, so was going to install soliniods and run lines to both tubes , ???
i was thinking of buying the cheapest kit with is for holly like the 400hp kit, and insead of the carb plate just modifiy that and then split lines off to the dual air tubes, so that is my guestion as dumb as it may sound
, any ideals, comments,

Sounds alot like the olde "Oxygen bottle spraying in front of the intake" Deal. One of two things would happen:
#1: The gains you would see would be next to nothing. nitrous is meant to be sparyed in a closed area where it cant escape to the air, and with fuel so it gets where its going faster and doesnt put a hole in your piston.
#2: You might get very unlucky and see huge gains, by which i mean bad gains, the pure oxygen would act like an assedilyne torch and melt your pistons / heads in the first run at high RPMS. Thats why people dont just use oxygen. if you want cold intake use one of those fuel coolers things or just a plain old tranny cooler with fuel running through it instead. as for air, well, intercooling would be out of the question without a good reason to spend the money, simple RAM-AIR or COWL INDUCTION seems to work better than a shot of NOS into the air. thats kindof a waste too. good idea though, but it wont work in my opinion, but Ive never tried it, I just know how those oxygen things go. its gota be metered perfectly or else.
