Paxton Supercharger?

I am thinking about buying a used Paxton supercharger for an 87 TA with tpi. What should I look at on this kit to make sure it is good shape? Does anyone know what I need to do for fuel enrichment and ignition changes? Thanks for you help,
Tyler

make sure all mounting bracketry and hardware comes with it. Took me hours of chasing down bolts. The tubing from the blower to the throttle body should all be there, and the unit should be low mileage and with some luck fully rebuilt, because they tend to fail after a while. Oh and get the instructions with the kit if you can, because i don't think paxton will even provide them anymore.

As far as ignition and fuel, I cranked my fuel pressure up to 50psi, and i backed off my timing for the meantime. The car does not run lean at all. If anything, it runs a bit rich. I have a 6al and a btm to go on the car eventually as well, but i need to send the 6al to msd for repair.

Does anyone know roughly how much it costs to rebuild a Paxton blower?

Paxton wants $800 to rebuid it for 8 pounds of boost and an extra $100 to upgrade the pulley for 9 pounds. We have 2 Paxtons here and they both need rebuilding

If you want it rebuilt, call paxton and ask for Craig at paradise motors. HE took over the sn series blowers and charges 700$ to rebuild the blowers and he gives a life time gaurentee..

What should I look at as far as wear on the compressor? Should the pulley be tight, loose, etc.? Thanks,

when I checked a few months ago summit had the last paxton (new old stock) kit (discontinued by the manufacturer) for the earlier TPI cars, interested parties should check on this because nobody sells an early tpi (non fully sepentine) kit.
