Advice on nitrous/sparkplug combo

I really need some help... I have a 1987 Iroc 5.7, all stock internally. I put on the NOS 5151 kit. I had rapidfire plugs (#1's)in it, but I KNOW those will not work with nitrous because the extended tip, long, skinny grounding strap will cause detonation. The car runs great on those plugs! But the service manual calls for an ac Delco an ac delco R43cts... no one seems to stock those. It's a copper core. I also found a publication that said I could use:

R44t plugs.... the car wouldnt idle.... plugs were too cold... ran rich also.

So... I found one pub that said I could use:

R45t plugs.... same thing, only a little better. NOS was no help at all, and actually gave me BAD advice... LOL. Said use the rapidfires anyway, this was from one of their tech reps! Fired the nitrous and blew/burned one grounding strap clean off in 4 seconds of use.

I'm running the 150hp shot, standard comp. chip... all pretty much stock..

HELP

Run standard copper core NGK spark plugs. Goto any advanced auto parts and have them look up an NGK COPPER plug for your car, they are about 1.50 a piece. They will work fine
