Boost Question

How much boost do you guys think would be safe w/ hyperutectics, 9:1 comp., and stock timing? Could I run more boost w/ the 3-core intercooler rather than the 2-core, or if I took a little more timing out of my chip. I'm getting an ATI. Thanks for any help guys.

Probably about 10 or 11 PSI. They run 8 psi on stock piston LT1s and they have 10.3:1 comp.

The cooler the air the more boost you can run, so a three core can run more boost than a two core. The whole thing you're trying to accoplish is avoiding detonation. You can do that with colder air or less boost or retarded timing.
