twinturbo's for $900

hell ya, thanks to the guys who showed me the link to that sight, except for the fuel line mods I could do that easily. shorty headers, junkyard turbos, bendable exhuast piping and some duct tape and I'll be running low 12's easy and still get good gas milage. does anyone have anyother sites like that one.

Check the links

Check the links page. There's a good link to a guy that did a twin turbo carbed 302, and there's also a link to Bryan Sharer's (I think) page, and he's running high nines with this style setup IIRC.

does anybody know where I can get a set of headers to do that? or do I have to make em? thanks

EDIT: what kind of power could I get from a 305 by doing that? could I hit 500hp? thanks!

For the headers most people just flip a set of shorty headers upside down and backwards then bend some exhaust piping forward and mount them there. Two of those could support 500 hp on a 305, but thats assuming everything in the engine is up to handling that power.

My friend did his junkyard twin torbo setup pretty easily. You do have to be a bit mechanicaly inclined though. Here is his website.

I have been looking at that site ever since I had my 88 Turbo Coupe 2 yrs. ago. Those guys are real good with turbos. I am planning on the twin turbo idea with a carb. I too, am wondering about the header setup. Would shorty headers up-sidedown fit under the hood assuming I put the turbos where the battery was, and where the charcoal canister is?

Thanks,

They should probably fit. If they're too tall you can always cut them back a bit then weld the pipe onto them. You might want to check out Jester's page, I think he's got some pics of the turbos mounted and in the car, to give you an idea of how to go about things.
