blower compression ratio

going to send my heads back to afr and have them race ported for a little extra flow, the question i have is should i have them milled down to 58cc from the 68 they are currently at.i'm pushing 6 lb of boost right now but may go to 10 someday.

is it better for a low boost engine to be higher compression --as i beleave that i would have no problem running 10-1 compression 8lb boost with aluminum heads and premium gas as long as i've got my prom properly calibrated.

i i'd have to beleave there are stock vettes out there with 58cc heads and superchargers so if they can do it i should be ok?

any thoughhts???

you dont want to lose your spark advance due to compression. the power you gain from higher compression will be lost when you have to retard your timing later because of detonation. with 5 Lbs. of boost, yeah, 10:1 is O.K. but barelly. stick to 9:1 or lower....
