boost vs. drivability

hello again,,
I am wanting to put a twin turbo setup on my car...its an 84 l69
t/a. my question is how much boost can i run without killing its drivability? what turbos would be good for my 305?Ive considered t-bird turbo coupe turbos,,but their not that easy to find around here. I've seen a self contained turbo from turbonetics I think, they say no oil return lines needed...But unfortunately I dont understand how to read the maps for turbos to decide which size would work for me. Any other ideas on turbos
touse(ive already searched the boards and didnt find much other than the turbo coupes).Ive heard that to much boost will hinder the mid rpm cruising..I'm getting forged stock comp pistons and putting on some 72 cc heads i have to lower the comp.of my engine(that should put my comp. low enough,,right?). Just one more thing while i have your attn,How much boost could i run with
just the forged pistons and stock bottom end?
thanks again

You can theoretically run as much boost as you want, as long as you have turbos that come in at a low rpm. Get a wild intake setup, and the turbos will force air in there at the lower rpms, helping driveability. Realistically, you start making race type changes after about 12-15 psi to make the combination work even better.
