Newbie Nitrous questions

I'm looking into the NX EFI kit. I'll only run around 75hp or so. Is it set to automatically come on at a certain RPM? I didn't think you can use nitrous at a low RPM without hurting the motor. Do you guys hit the button in first gear, or wait until second?
Thanks.

Umm...

If it turns on at a certain rmp you don't have to worry about the button.

If you have a button to press, It depends what you want to do. If you want a quick off the line, I would think first gear would be it but if you wanted something more I would go for 2nd. If you want nitrous to change your top speed them press it in 5th or 6th gear, which ever you have.

Good luck.

you have to set it up; they don't come set up for anything.......

i wait for the 2nd shift at the track and 20 mph or higher on the street.

from the start is alot harder on your parts as well as traction becomes an extreme issue.......no point, with the right setup these cars fly off the line as it is.

it's definately alot of fun an the best bang for the buck you'll spend on your car.

K your doing a 75shot, that is next to nothing, you can do it right off the line. I was doing 175 off the line on a open rearend with a 28x11.5 slick, pulling the best of a 1.54 60ft

dont worry about what rpms are when you hose it, but always be wide open throttle. never juice at part throttle. i have a microswitch mounted at my carb to activate my system, a master switch at the dash incase i want to run all throttle no bottle. and i always come out of the hole on juice, "have traction will fly".

don't spray under 3,000 rpms with a wet kit.. you'll get intake puddling and it will backfire.
