would it be safe to put one of those weiand or holley single quad blowers on my motor with hyp. pistons? also how much boost can you get out of one of those "mini blowers" and what kind of power gain does it give. my motor is 9.6:1 compression.

 

i say go for it it should be good for about 100hp.For 1200-1500 those little blowers are not bad,not bad for the price.

 

with your set-up i wouldn't recommend it, the roots style blower creates alot more heat then a centrifugal blower, your compression @ 9.6:1 is on the very top of the scale for a blown application, so you would not be able to run very much boost without detenation, also the hyper piston are considered very fragile when detenation occurs, one slight lean condition and you'll be replacing your lower end.

if fuel quality is kept up and boost and timing stays conservative then you could be ok.

 

welp...should i do it...i was thinking the same thing...look at sig for my mods...heads are comming soon....
