Ok I have the same software and have been learning alot about modifying the templates and adding features to vbulletin, check out my board at http://www.hr3rdgen.org/fourm/

Yeah this board could look really good and have alot more better features and an better looking interface and a better layout other than the defualt layout which is basically what we got going on here.

So are there any plans to make this board better than it already is?

 

this look has been getting kinda old, biggest change was the style of buttons when we upgraded with the servers and all

I like the look of that board, I especially like the "Register" button

you can still keep the color scheme and all but give more visually appealing buttons and such.

 

I just finished redoing our board tonight at 3am... sigh, and I've gone through all the templates and done alot of tweaking.

The buttons changed cuase of the vbulletin update.

But yeah, they could keep the colors and improve on it. I could think of some awesome ways this board could be improved. This board and the website personally to me, they look slapped together and outta date compared to most other forums on the internet that I've visited.

Do the admins of this board visit www.vbulletin.org at all??

 

So go use them....Personally im here for the info.....if you want bright lights...go to vegas

Mabye thats what pennyless wants, but thats not what I meant, I was just saying it is real basic and maybe could look a little better, just doing something with the buttons or something. Nothing more or I think it would take away from the board.

 

This board is fine to me. I'm a guy, I don't need things fancy. Just simple and to the point. If we need to get all fancy, I'll check out an interior decorator message board.

Don't mind me, I've had one too many. No more Busch or Natural Lite.

 

yeah and all that fancy shmancy **** will make thirdgen.org come through my 56k even slower

Surely the layout and the colour of the buttons is purely down to personal taste? You'll never get it so everybody likes it ! At the moment it's functional, quick to load and asthetically pleasing. What the |-|ell more do you want from a technical forum?

I say, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. You'd sure complain if the site was down for weeks while some poor sole tried to change all the buttons to suite everyone's different taste.

Man, I always appreciated the simple layout. Just enough color for a "car guy". Plus there are always links to images, attached images, etc., which are far more important. The board is just a vehicle for ideas, the chip that carries the salsa if you will. Mmmmmm, lunchtime.

Of course now I have to look up "smacy uttons"...:lala:

Yeah I k now I shouldnt of said it but if he didnt do the crap he usaully does then it dont matter. Actually though he seems to not BS as much since he has that Iroc now which looks nice. Still though he causes crap.
